About
Having taken our name from the 2018 Brownswood Recordings compilation ‘We Out Here‘; a calling card for London’s bright-burning young jazz scene, We Out Here Festival launched in 2019, uniting integral members of the movement alongside legendary icons, genre-spanning DJs, and young improvisers alike for four days of music and community.
As festival founder Gilles Peterson has been doing over his four-decade-long career, We Out Here joins the musical dots between soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz and beyond; showcasing both outstanding live music and some of the best record collections in the world. Past guests include Thundercat, Pharaoh Sanders, Ebo Taylor, The Comet Is Coming, Yussef Dayes, Ezra Collective, Nia Archives, Sampha, Black Star, Nubya Garcia, Masters at Work, Bonobo, TheoParrish and many more…
