1 month to go....

So we’re just over a month away from edition 13 of the worldwide festival in sete. as always I’m super excited and want to thank all our guests in advance for coming along and making it the one thing I look forward to most in my calendar every year. as you may already appreciate this is a truly independent festival with practically zero outside support funding wise.

I don’t necessarily disagree with sponsored events as they have often allowed extraordinary things to happen, but doing this gathering in a small town in France would feel somehow incorrect if it was branded by generic festival banners and corporate types walking around looking for the vip area…

ticket wise the week long passes are sold out but we have individual tickets left for the sunday july 1, monday july 2 and wednesday july 4, but they are going fast…

meanwhile some major new announcements…. louie vega will be our dj on july 1 with a 3 hour set following 2 very special guests performing with badbadnotgood! monday is shaping up to be massive with benji b and lefto going b2b following on from joe armon jones, seun kuti AND a very special 3rd live performance from some chicago legends…. watch this space….

also added to the list…. mexico’s phenomenal nuova cumbia crew La Redada playing live and Deni Shain dj set in the Paul Valerie museum (daytime sat june 30) inspiration information to the max with patrick forge playing the beach on sun july 1…. 

Thristian hosts an all day Global Roots party at La Ola on the Tuesday june 3 Golden couple Dazzle Drums return from japan to play alongside the Touching Base collective on the beach wednesday july 4...

And the mighty Satoshi Tomiie joins DJ Krush, Akiko Kiyama and Toshio Matsuura (with Max and Dan from Comet is Coming) on the wednesday in the theatre and DJ Zinc finally lands in Sete for the closing party with Goldie and Kokoroko on Sat july 6…
